Meet The Doctors

Dr. Navid Sharifi, or “Dr. Navid” as he is known by his patients, has proudly called Hinton home since 2021. He is the owner and principal dentist at Foothills Dental Centre, where he is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive dental care to the local community.

Dr. Navid enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with particular interests in orthodontics and oral surgery. He has completed the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics (AGpO) program and has extensive experience treating patients with clear aligner therapy, including Invisalign®. He takes pride in helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles through personalized orthodontic care.

In addition to orthodontics, Dr. Navid has significant experience in oral surgery and routinely performs a wide range of procedures, including complex extractions. Practicing in a rural setting has allowed him to develop a broad and advanced skill set, enabling him to provide many treatments locally that would otherwise require referral.

In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Navid provides dental care within a federal institutional setting, where he treats patients with complex and diverse dental needs. This experience has strengthened his ability to manage challenging cases while delivering thoughtful, comprehensive care across a wide range of clinical situations.

As part of his commitment to accessible care, Dr. Navid also holds hospital privileges, allowing him to provide treatment under general anesthesia for pediatric patients, individuals with dental anxiety, and those requiring more complex procedures.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Navid enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son. You can also catch him in the mountains, staying active, and being part of the Hinton community he proudly calls home.

Dr. Farid Sharifi, known to his patients as “Dr. Farid,” enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry and is proud to now call Hinton home for the past several years.

Dr. Farid values the opportunity to practice in a close-knit community and to live near his brother and family. He is known for his calm, patient demeanor and takes the time to ensure his patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their treatment. He believes that patient education is an important part of building trust and helping individuals make confident decisions about their oral health.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Farid enjoys exploring new places, spending time with his fiancée, and working on hands-on projects, where he likes to build and tinker with different ideas.
