Implant treatment is typically completed using a two-stage approach. In the first stage, a small titanium implant is gently placed into the jawbone. Over the next 3 to 4 months, the implant naturally fuses with the bone in a process called osseointegration. During this healing phase, most patients experience minimal discomfort and can continue with their normal daily activities. In the second stage, once healing is complete, a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture is securely attached to the implant to restore full function and appearance.
